Screen protector machines are highly efficient devices used to customize screen protectors for various phone models. These machines can precisely cut screen protectors based on different screen sizes, materials, and user requirements, offering a convenient service for distributors and consumers. To ensure precise cutting and high-quality protectors, the correct parameter settings are crucial. Here, we will show you the key parameters of smart film cutting machines—cutting pressure and blade scale settings—and provide additional relevant settings to help users achieve optimal cutting results.
Cutting pressure is an essential parameter in a screen protector cutting machine, determining the force applied during the cutting process. Proper cutting pressure ensures precise material cuts while preventing damage to the screen protector. The cutting pressure should be adjusted based on the hardness of the material being cut.
Harder materials:
A higher cutting pressure is needed to ensure the blade can effectively cut through the material.
Softer materials:
The cutting pressure should be reduced to avoid excessive force that could damage the material.
The default cutting pressure is set at 300, which is suitable for most common materials. When cutting harder or softer materials, it's recommended to adjust the cutting pressure by increments of 30 to achieve the best cutting performance.
The blade scale directly affects the cutting depth and should be adjusted based on the thickness of the material being cut. The thicker the material, the higher the blade scale should be; conversely, thinner materials require a lower blade scale to avoid cutting too deeply.
Standard Scale:
The default blade scale is set to 5, which is suitable for most materials.
Adjustment Range:
Each increment or decrement of one scale adjusts the cutting depth by 0.2mm. Users can gradually adjust the blade scale to ensure the cutting depth is appropriate for the material.
It is worth noting that you should not cut through the last layer of material to avoid damaging the device. Normally, we only cut 3 of the 4 layers of material.
We usually only cut 3 out of 4 layers of material, please note that the last layer is complete.
The following are recommended settings for common cutting materials:
Material | Pressure setting | Blade holder scale |
Back film | 300 | 4 or 5 |
HD clear screen protector sheets | 300 | 5 |
Matte screen protector sheets | 300 | 5 |
Anti-blue ray screen protector sheets | 300 | 5 |
Self-healing screen protector sheets | 300 | 5 or 6 |
Privacy screen protector sheets | 330 | 5 or 6 |
UV screen protector sheets | 330 to 360 | 6-7 |
Note: Considering the ambient temperature and the wear of the machine, the parameter settings may vary within a reasonable range. Please adjust according to your actual situation.
Over time, the blade in the cutting machine will experience wear and tear. Blade wear can affect cutting accuracy, leading to uneven cuts or incomplete cutting. Therefore, to maintain cutting quality, it is recommended to replace the blade after approximately 300 cuts.
Replacing the blade in a timely manner not only ensures cutting quality but also extends the life of the screen protector cutting machine. Checking the blade’s wear before use and ensuring the proper operation of the machine can significantly improve work efficiency and reduce breakdowns.
Regular calibration of the blade is essential for ensuring cutting precision. Blade calibration should be part of routine maintenance. When the blade scale is set to 0, the blade should be fully retracted, confirming that the initial position of the blade is accurate.
